If your life or another person’s life is at risk, go straight to your nearest Accident & Emergency department or call 999 (UK).
If your life is not at risk but you are in need of urgent support you can contact the following services:
- Samaritans on 116 123, for free. This service is open all day and night.
- Childline on 0800 1111, for free, any time of day or night. Childline also offers a chat service online, click here to message a counsellor.
- Your local NHS service will have an urgent mental health helpline. Find your local service here.
- Contact SHOUT to receive immediate support via text message. Text SHOUT to 85258, any time of day or night.
